Special thanks to our Race Committe, Eddie Anderson.

Once again, we had 7 boats on the starting line. Turnout this year has been trending in the right direction, especially for larger boats. 5 out of the 7 boats were 33 feet or larger, well-sailed boats with fairly equal ratings from 132-155. This makes for some great, level, competition. If you're considering coming out for a Thursday race, you should!

It was a close race from beginning to end with less than 5 minutes separating the top boats. The smallest boat, Naughty Dog, came out ahead. In Second was Halve Maen Skippered by Walther Van Stipriaan.  Walther is a regular BSIR racer and this year's West Island Race winner. He will be coming out for our Thursday Night series regularly from now on. The competition is heating up!

Our Next Race will be September 18th (if there's sufficient interest we may add an additional race.) See you all out there!

Regards,

Chris DeMarco
