After a few cancellations due to weather we finally got a makeup race in!
We had a moderate breeze and sailed course 2. The fleet had (mostly) crossed back under the bridge and were homeward bound towards the finish when the dying breeze shifted 30 degrees left and dropped to 3 knots. Some chose to tack out into the bay in search of more breeze. Others stayed pointed towards the mark and hoped for the best. It made for an interesting, strategic finish to a race that was otherwise over. If you're not Racing with us on thursdays, you're missing out on some good racing!
Congrats to Rettsie on the Bullet, and thanks to John Davis for doing race comittee. Full Results are attached.u
The Good News is that our next race is scheduled for this Thursday. We have 3 races left this season, with one race scheduled for October. Labor Day is past and this is your last chance to get out racing before you're stuck inside all winter wishing you could.
