REPORT:
Attached are the final results for Thursday's Babylon Twilight Race. We had a great turnout with 7 boats in attendance! Congratulations to Rettsie on their first place finish.
John Holst did RC with an initial start line for a light north wind start- always a challenge. However right before the start the wind switched to SW at 5-10 kts giving us a beautiful evening race. Kudos to the RC team for their hustle at the start.
A note from Chris DeMarco: "The Crew of Banshee was over 6 minutes late for the start, significantly behind the fleet. Sailing with a newfound sense of urgency, we said, "If only we can beat one boat, that would be a success. " Well, one boat passed turned into 4 boats passed, and suddenly we were right back in it! If only the race were 2 miles longer and we had another hour of daylight."
The earlier start time of 6 PM that becomes a necessity in the fall due to the earlier sunset creates a challenge for some racers. Please adjust your departure schedule to arrive on time as the daylight is limited this time of year.
The next & final Babylon Twilight race will be Thursday, October 1st. Don't miss it. See you then!
